Radsafers,

This just came up as an action item to be completed by end of day
(09/16/1998).  Please respond with your facility's method - 

What method  do you use to verify dose rate measurements are taken at a
consistent distance from radioactive material packages prepared for
shipment:

1.	Use tape/pre-measured rod (e.g., two meter rod marked at 1
meter)

2.	Rely on HP Technician to take dose rate at required distance
from package

3.	Other.  Please note method.
