Biological models and half-lives
I think the most comprehensive sources of metabolic distribution models are
still ICRP Publication 30, Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4. The parts describe the stable
element distribution and half-lives. If you want a specific radionuclide in a
non-specialized application (i.e., not tagged to some unusual compound for
medical or research purposes) , you'll need to incorporate the radiological
half-life to get an effective half-life for each component.
ICRP Publication 56, 67, 69, and 71 provide more recent models for some
elements.
If all you need are dose coefficients (dose per unit intake), ICRP 72 is a nice
compilation, as is IAEA Safety Series No. 115, both of which use the more recent
models and recommendations of ICRP 60 and 66. Federal Guidance Report No. 11
provides dose coefficients derived using the ICRP 26/30 dosimetry factors.
