Ruth and All,
Yes, but ...
0.05 watt-sec/kg times the mass of a 80 kg person gives exactly 4
watt-sec of energy deposited by a 5 rem dose. The exact same energy
(heat plus light) emitted by a 4 watt bulb during one sec.
