ORMUG Fall Workshop

The Ohio Radioactive Materials Users Group (ORMUG) will be holding it's
annual Fall Workshop on November 4, 1998 at the Ramada University Hotel and
Conference Center, 3110 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43202
(614-267-7461).

The title of the workshop is "A Look Ahead: Radiation in the New Century".
Concurrent General and Medical sessions will be held. The sessions will
focus on topics and activities that will have increased importance in the
ever-approaching 21st century.  For example: D&D rules, case studies in lab
decommissioning, food irradiation, revised Part 35 patient release
procedures, control of radioactive sources and devices, and a State of Ohio
update on rules, NARM, waste, and agreement state status. Vendors will be
attendance to help with questions and services. A buffet lunch is provided.
Cost is $125 for ORMUG members, $160 for non-members, and $200 at the door.

Sessions are accredited by the State of Ohio for Nuclear Medicine
Technologists and Radiation Therapy Technologists, by ASRT for Nuclear
Medicine Technologists, by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene for
maintenance points, and the American Academy of Health Physics for CE
credits.
