My 8-year old confirmed for me that GC-161 is from the children's television
show "The Secret World of Alex Mack."  Also, see following excerpt from
www.nick.com.

  I have recently moved to Simi Valley, Ca. I was recently told by a
 realtor that there was some sort of nuclear waste put behind some
 local mountains in 1951. My child did a TRIAL evacuation for when the
 gases blow over the mountain. I am frightened. I was told by the
 realtor also that people who she has talked to have said they were
 sicker and more tired while living here. Simi Valley sits
 approximately 30 miles from Los Angeles, in Ventura county. It is 8
 miles by 4 miles and surrounded by mountains. I AM VERY CONCERNED. My
 daughter said it was called GC161.
 
  Do you have any information? Can you direct me where to go to
 research it? I was told that the Los Angeles times did an article 8
 years ago. My family and I have lived here in Simi for 1 month. We
 frequently have red faces at the same time. Is this some kind of
 reaction possibly to thermal meltdown. Please get back with me...even
 if you feel that you have little info for me. I need some kind of
 advice. This is the forbidden discussion...people just want to be in
 denial about the environment!
