Most of the Cs-137 in Florida soil would be from fallout from weapons tests.  I have
no relevant data hand but if the nominal 35 megacuries that are believed to have
been released were uniformly spread over the northern hemisphere, the activity
would be about 0.4 curies of Cs-137 per square mile.  Presumably the levels in
Florida would be higher than the average because Florida has more-than-average
rainfall.  Cs-137 can be detected almost anywhere in the US.
