Downwinders Study To Be Released

Downwinders Study To Be Released - (HERMISTON) -- The 
Centers For Disease Control in Atlanta plans to release a study on 
thyroid disease among so-called ``downwinders'' in Eastern Oregon 
and Washington next month. The study will seek to determine if 
possible radiation releases at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in 
the 50's and 60's may have affected residents who lived near the 
site. Several thousand residents of the area have  
been part of the study.
