Frisking Requirements for RBA Exit



I am a Radiological Engineer at the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology
Site (RFETS) and have been assigned to determine the substance of other DOE
sites' policies regarding frisking requirements (or lack of requirements)
for hand-carried items removed from Radiological Buffer Areas (RBA).  I
believe this forum to be the most efficient for contacting other Health
Physicists/Radiological Engineers at the many other sites.

We define hand-carried items as personal items, pens, papers, clipboards,
notebook computers, etc., that are not used for intrusive activities and are
maintained under personal control while in a radiological area.

I would appreciate any input from other DOE sites and other nuclear
