Sometimes, we have found that flourescent lights cause "photo luminescence".
If we let the samples sit in the counter, with the cover closed, and "dark
adapt" for a few hours, or overnight, it goes away.
The flouresecnt lights could be where the samples were previously stored
and/or in the counting room.
