Re: History of X-Rays
Don Kosloff makes a good point that students may often find rhetoric rather
than facts in the library if they don't have some guidance. Each of us can
help this situation by working with our local librarians to provide some
balanced sources. Our library has a file on nuclear power (being on the edge
of the emergency planning zone for a two unit plant is probably what got them
started) and they were delighted to add some material that I provided.
Because I know the librarians from other projects in the community they even
called me on a Saturday evening when a student came in with questions for a
project. It didn't take me any substantial time and I was grateful that there
were people who wanted to be sure that the facts were available and not only
the rhetoric. I'd highly recommend working with your local and school
libraries.
