Not really, Jim.  That would be induced magnetism, more that a static magnetic field.  In this case, as in at our lab, it is the magnetic field left in an electromagnet after the current to the electromagnet is removed.  As differentiated from a dynamic magnetic field, controlled by the current.  A good analogy would be an accelerators prompt radiation vs. induced radiation.
