That certainly is true.  It somehow satisfies the souls of many people to
think that the world is run on conspiracies.  Some people, if they are told
something that does not fit their preconceived notions, automatically assume
the worst.  I think this fits the case of the depleted uranium theory as a
cause of the alleged Gulf War Syndrome, as well as other alleged conspiracies.
In the case of the Gulf  War Syndrome, it is not even clear that it exists -
and piled on top of that uncertainty, is the uncertainty of any connection
with uranium.  Fortunately, it seems that no one on this mailing list is
obsessed with DU as the cause - at least not yet.
