For good or bad, advanced degrees in Health Physics and a comprehensive
certification [CHP] can now be the deciding factor when screening expert
witnesses in radiation litigation cases (i.e., these individuals are legally
recognized as experts in a specialized field).

I refer you to the Whiting v. Boston Edison Co case (891 F. Supp. 12 [D. Mass.,
1995]).
