Seeking an Operations Manager



Afftrex Ltd. is an established government contractor who provides
Health Physics and Radiological Decontamination & Decommissioning
Services throughout the U.S. We are seeking an entrepreneurial minded
professional to join our successful management team. This is an

OPERATIONS MANAGER:

The operations manager will report directly to the President and will be
responsible for day-to-day technical operations of government and
commercial projects for Afftrex Ltd. 

The primary purpose of this position will be to successfully manage
national scheduling and real-time operations which facilitate the
maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity,
and adherence to economic goals.

The successful candidate will oversee project managers and site
managers to ensure that productivity at commercial and government
projects is achieved in a safe and cost effective manner. 

The individual will manage the bids and proposals department to ensure
that submittals are of contract award quality, which is vital to our
success. 

The manager will interface with corporate financial, administrative, legal,
and human resource departments to ensure operations are performed in
accordance with established company policies. 

The individual will participate in the daily, quarterly and annual planning
process as appropriate. Additional responsibilities include managing
budgets and controlling expenses; and reviewing operation performance
to meet goals, objectives and target dates. 

The selected individual will hire, train, develop, and appraise staff
effectively; and maintain a favorable working relationship with all
company employees while promoting a cooperative, harmonious,
productive, and efficient working environment. 

The manager will maintain a qualified staff, communicate performance
expectations, establish standards of performance, ensure proper
training; and recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions, and
dismissals. 

The operations manager will promptly and fully inform the president of
problems or unusual matters of significance, take corrective actions
when necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
 
Qualifications Required:
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years previous operations management and project    
management 
- Commercial and government nuclear D&D experience 
- Bid, proposal and contract negotiation experience

Experience in supervising, coaching, developing staff; and industrial and
construction safety is preferred.
