This is not mixing apples and oranges. Prior to reporting the EDE 
(Effective Dose Equivalent), the collar badge (being the highest 
area of exposure) is the Deep Dose Equivalent (formerly reported 
as Whole Body Dose. The Whole Body is defined as the highest 
area of dose, be it the torso, thighs and the head area. If the facility 
were not using the dose weighting, the life-time dose for the whole 
body is the sum of ALL collar badges, and any other area, worn for 
a specific wear period.
