Try buying some potassium enriched material (fertilizer) or lab grade
potassium (preferred).  From this you can use the 1460 keV peak for
calibration.  Knowing the mass, you can calculate the approximate dpm in the
"standard". 
For Th, try to obtain a radioactive gas lantern mantle.
To "certify" the "standards" send them to a NIST traceable lab for analysis.
Another option is to purchase exempt sources from an instrument manufacturer-I
assume the Greece has the same sort of laws governing exempt
quantities/concentrations as does the U.S.
