Meeting of the
Baltimore-Washington Chapter of the HPS

The fifth meeting of the season of the Baltimore-Washington Chapter of the
Health Physics Society will be at the Far East Restaurant, 5055 Nicholson
Lane, Rockville, Maryland. This will be a joint meeting with the Potomac
Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association. We also are inviting
attendees at the DoD Laser Systems Safety Working Group, which is meeting
during that week in Bethesda, to join us.

Our featured speaker will be Dr. Dave Sliney of the U.S. Army Center for
Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine. He will discuss current topics in
laser radiation safety.

Dr. Sliney is a world-renowned expert in laser radiation safety. He is a
pioneer in this field and has co-authored most of the primary standards for
laser exposures and safety measures. He has numerous publications to his
credit and is always an entertaining and educational speaker.

telephone number. Reservation cutoff is noon on Monday, March 22. If you wish
to cancel your reservation, you must do so at least twenty-four hours prior to
the dinner or we may have to ask you to pay for the meal anyway. You can leave
