 There is a company called Isolite (not sure if it's the one in middletown)
that takes them for free - up to a nominal number.  If you have lots
of them, I think the cost is still reasonable.  Probably much easier
than re-inventing the wheel... sounds like you could be on a paperwork
roller coaster.
