Tom and All,

Just a point on the physics here.  There is no such thing as conservation of
momentum. Think about it. If two pool balls come directly together with the
same speed (opposite veolcities) they both stop.  They each had momentum
before the collission.  And after the collision, there is no momentum.  The
momentum is gone. (Just like Bob Dole's presidential campaign.)
