RE: Radiation martyrs - dial painters included?
The following information was given to me by a colleague who does not
have Radsafe access but is fairly knowledgeable about the dial painters
since our agency has been involved in the cleanup of the old factories
located here in Connecticut. He can be contacted at

"Here are the names of 36 dialpainters and three Chemical
worker/Chemists who died due to diseases reportedly associated with
radium poisoning. All told, about 39 workers (or their families) were
compensated for death and/or illnesses caused by radium. 16 in
Connecticut, 10 or 11 in New Jersey, and 13 in Illinois. A partial list follows
so you can get your answer by comparing this list with the names from the
monuments
