RE: Use of Dust Masks in Radiation Control Areas
Here at the East Tennessee Technology Park, any one working in the K-25
building must wear dust masks due to mold spores in the building. In order
to wear a dust mask, one must first pass a respirator fit test for the mask
to be worn. Before being issued a mask, one must present his respirator fit
card with that mask listed on it. Since one must have a respirator fit
test, one must also have a medical evaluation just as one does for a regular
respirator.
