Re: Exposure during Cross Country Flights

There are two FAA reports which give radiation exposure estimate for typical
airline routes. One that I have is FAA Advisory Circular AC.No. 120-152
titled "Radiation Exposure of Aiir Carrier Crewmembers" issued in 1990. The
other was a followup report DOT/FAA/AM-92/2 titled Radiation Exposure of Air
Carrier Crewmembers II issued in 1992. I do not know if there have been any
further revisions of these documents. There was also a NCRP report on
exposure risks from air travel sometime in 1995, but I could not locate it in
my files. I enjoy taking small pocket type readition monitors on airline
flights and watching the count rate go up when the plane gets above 10000
feet.
