Yes, George Ciocotto sent me a rough calculation, that the total activity
of 10 kg uranium would correspond to tritium- and promethium- activities
used in luminous dials of watches and other instruments. Nevertheless there
is a "little" difference between both the chemical properties of U and T
and the type of radiation they emit!
