Re: Cleaning Iodine Therapy Patient Rooms

Dear Chris,

Licensees and employers of workers who are engaged in activities that
involve or could involve occupational exposure are responsible to engage
appropriate human resources as needed and also are responsible to provide
appropriate training in protection and safety to ensure the necessary level
of competence.
If you are the Radiation Protection Officer, you are responsible to oversee
the application of the above statement. Licensee's decision, in case of
violation, do not exclude your responsibility, if you accept non adequate
workers. Non adequate workers, increase the possibility of errors, and as
you know, the occurrence of human errors must be reduced as practicable,
through appropriate staff selection and training.
