Hazardous & Medical Waste Services, Inc. (HAZMED) at the Army Research 
Laboratory Risk Management Office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland has an 
opening for a full-time Radioactive Waste Technician at the Locust Point Waste 
Minimization and Recycling Facility.  Duties include loading/unloading of 
vehicles, waste compaction, metal cutting, abrasive blasting, radiological 
surveys of containers, and other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and have completed 
three weeks of specialized radioactive waste training (years experience with 
waste handling operations may be substituted for training).  Must be able to 
lift and carry 50 lbs., wear a respirator, and have a valid class B (CDL) 
drivers license with the hazardous materials endorsement.

It is preferred that the candidate be proficient in Oxy/Acetylene cutting, 
forklift operations, abrasive blasting, and radiological surveying. Minor 
electrical/plumbing troubleshooting and repair is a plus.
