RE: RADSAFE digest 2571

The Technical Basis for Internal Dosimetry at Hanford says the non-uranium
impurities in recycled uranium add from 2 to 14 percent to the dose from uranium
alone, depending on the inhalation class of the uranium. The actual impurities
are:

Plutonium = 0.4 nCi Pu-alpha/g-U
Neptunium = 0.4 nCi Np-237/g-U
Thorium = 5 pCI Th-232/g-U
Tc-99 = 0.2 uCi Tc-99/g-U
Ru-103,106 = 40 nCi Ru-106/g-U
ZrNb-95 = 20 nCi Zr-95/g-U

All based on analysis of three batches in 1988.
