Re: Source for Mylar
The DuPont site in Florence, SC makes it. I don't have a contact, since we were sold by DuPont 4 years ago, but I'd call the plant manager and talk to his secretary (not him), who could point you to a source of scrap which would be fine for your purposes!

I am looking for a source of Mylar to use for replacing detector windows. Does
anyone have a source(s) for mylar? Preferably approximately 80 microgram per
centimeter square and gold plated. Any potential density thickness may be
considered.
Thanks in advance.
