Senior Health Physics Technician
The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation and management of the procedural and oversight portions of the Radiation Safety program in research laboratories using radioactive materials and/or radiation producing equipment at the Medical Center.

Candidates must have a high school education with some college level courses in the sciences (NRRPT preferred). A minimum of 2 years experience with radioactive materials preferably in an academic medical center is required. Prior experience with research laboratories and knowledge of the types of instrumentation used for radiological testing is manditory. Salary range begins at $26,000.

Senior Health Physicist
The incumbent will assist the RSO in the development, implementation and management of the procedures and oversight portions of the Radiation Safety program in research laboratories using radioactive materials and/or radiation producing equipment at GU Medical Center. This includes performance and documentation of radiolaogical assessments in RAM laboratories, ordering, receipt, shipping and inventory of RAM and RAM waste, effluent monitoring, etc.

Candidates must have a B.S./B.A. in Health Physics, Physical or Biological Sciences (Masters Degree Preferred) and several years experience in operational health physics at an academic or medical center. The position requires good interpersonal and writing skills.
