Re: Patient dose from ventriculography
I have not seen dosimetry for ventriculography alone.
However, Leung (Brit J Radiol 69:426, 1996) reported a mean
of 3.7 mSv effective dose from left heart cath (range 2-12
mSv). This study generally includes ventriculography plus
coronary arteriography. Betsou et al (Brit J Radiol
71:634, 1998) reported a mean of 5.6 mSv effective dose
from coronary angiography. Hope this helps.
