I agree with this part. In the context I encountered however, the journalist 
wanted a proof that magnetic fields from power lines don't cause cancer. May 
mention that we have had politicians saying that "we should have no risks" 
(isn't that something to vote for?! :-) ).

That's a nice thing to ask. I will try that next time (won't call that 
particular journalist again however - he was too flimsy and unfocused).
