 Enclosures

--

I talked to Mr Nesbit after receiving this package. Their concern
is that this tape would be misused by the media. I assured him that
it would not be and gained permission to show this tape at my talk
to emergency managers.

Perhaps before a bunch of us swamp this small office with requests,
someone (NOT ME) could volunteer to collect the names of interested
parties and gain permission from IP to copy the material and
distribute it to the parties.

IP started this tape distribution program because not one of the
major networks would sell them ad space to air this rebuttal to the
60 minutes show. The airing of the program a few months after the
accident at TMI was calculated to play on the hysteria during Sweeps
weeks. This violation of the public trust on the part of 60 minutes
was much worse than the "Dateline" exploding pickup truck segment,
yet, because the alternative media and the Internet did not exist
(or was not as pervasive as today), the story remained untold.

Before anyone asks, "Performance Engineering" was one of my less
successful (read: crash'n'burn) ventures. It is no more.

John
