I completely agree with this assesment, however I would hope that NPR would
      refrain from this type of approach.    I was glad to see Mr. Cohen's
      efforts to keep this publicly funded organization in check.

I would disagree,  The main reason UCS is quoted is it makes better news.
It sells more.
