RE: Where to find 29CFR1910.96
Apologies, pushed send without adding the following:
It is my understanding that OSHA regulations at 29 CFR 1910.1096 establish
the federal minimum requirements for worker protection from ionizing
radiation (from non-NRC licensees at workplaces subject to OSHA). It should
be recognized that OSHA regulations may be administered by state Departments
of Health (or Labor) that may establish standards that are more restrictive
than federal OSHA. Rule: if looking into an OSHA rad question, check the
applicable state as well as federal rules.
Would you please post the following on the bulletin board. "At one
time 29CFR1910.96 covered ionizing radiation. A recent edition of 29
CRF did not have a 1910.96. Has this been removed or moved.? If
removed can you direct me to the edition of the Federal Register
that presents the change. If moved where is it?
