Environmental Chemical Corporation has an opportunity for a staff-level
health physicist in the Denver, Colorado office. The successful candidate
will be responsible for performing varied health physics functions related to
the remediation of environmental sites contaminated with low level
radioactive materials. Functions include, but are not limited to, analysis of
regulatory requirements; assessment and recommendation of radiation detection
instrumentation; development technical workplan, health and safety plan, and
quality assurance work control documents; writing standard operating
procedures for radiation protection program; and, initiating, conducting, and
overseeing all aspects of the packaging and transportation of low level
radioactive waste. Successful candidate should be available for short (1 week
to 1 month) and long (2-6 months) term field assignments. Position
requirements include bachelors in health physics or related field, plus 3-5
years of experience in the area of operational and environmental health
