Yes, I checked out this site. After a few minutes I had enough. It is the
well known nonsense distributed since years. It is not a scientific
problem - therefore any scientific comment is a waste of time. The strategy
of such people is obviously to repeat their nonsense again and again, until
most of the readers believe it. Good relations to mass media - which are
desperately searching for negative sensations in order to enhance the
number of copies sold and the number of persons tuning in at the respective
TV station - are essential. People who save the world from the deadly
threats of nuclear power are most welcome. People who save the world from
CO2 are not as spectacular and therefore not welcome - they only serve the
interests of the nuclear lobby etc.
This controversy seems in my opinion not to be anything related to facts.
It is lobbying, it is a difficult to understand web of interests of the oil
industry, the international relations, the economic interests of
electricity providers. The Greens have since many years been very
successful to block the nuclear cycle, they have been successful in filing
at courts with arguments which were actually of no scientific nature.
I am sorry, not to want to repeat the arguments which better suited persons
have brought forward since decades. But my comment is rather directed
toward a broader discussion - who can face these people and the nonsense,
they distribute???????
