	Back in the days when the Shah was in power, it was said that he
opted for nuclear power because it was economically better to 
use nuclear power for generating electricity and sell the oil saved to
outsiders. It was also, probably a manifestation of his drive to modernize
the country. At that time, there was no suspicion of an interest in
nuclear weapons.
