Waste to Energy

Don't forget the environmentalist pro-incinerator movement which came before
1985. They were called "waste-to-energy" plants and environmentalists
supported them just long enough to get a few built with government money
instead of taxpayer's money. Then they turned against them and had them all
shut down. Except for one in Red Wing MN that burns city trash to make
steam to help tan hides for the Red Wing Shoe Company.
