Re[2]: About this list

     Personal experience:

I had the opportunity to ask Ralph Nader how he could put nuclear
power plants on his 'hit' list when coal burning resulted in real,
rather than hypothetical, deaths. This was in the mid-1970's when
he gave a talk at a mid-western university.

He mumbled something about coal having problems too, added a bunch
of lawyer double-talk, and absolutely NEVER addressed the question.

His 'concern' for saving human lives is based mainly on the
political mileage he obtains from it in my humble opinion (and as
     observed firsthand).

And it taught me that the anti-nuclear movement doesn't care about
facts at all. The dishonest ones ignore facts for political gain
and to disrupt the 'system'; the honest ones ignore facts because
of their pseudo-religious belief that they are somehow saving the
     environment.

Yo Neon,

I've met and listened to Nader speak on several occasions, and "charismatic" is
the last thing that comes to mind.
Dull is more like it. I won't argue that there are opportunists in the
anti-nuke
field, but Nader isn't one of them. And yes, while he's got a few bucks, he
lives
modestly and by his principles.

Its a shame you are leaving this list, Radsafe could use more like you.
