Nature and Scope of Job
The Hazards Control Department (HCD) has five openings for Safety Analysts. These positions will provide technical support in the area of safety analysis
and assist the Laboratory to meet its commitment to perform hazards assessments and safety analyses of programs planned and conducted at LLNL. The
successful candidates will work on independent self-directed basis and interact with high-level staff members both internal and external to the Laboratory.
These individuals will report to the Nuclear Facilities Authorization Basis Group Leader.

Nature and Scope of Job
Individuals will provide health and safety support to various LLNL facilities and programs by performing a wide variety of multi-discipline activities including
workplace monitoring, analyses of the work environment and technical safety guidance. Under general supervision, reporting to the Technician Supervisor, will
interact with workers, scientists, engineers, and skilled technical personnel and upper management. At the 571.3 level will work under minimal supervision.

HC-0520 SCIENTIFIC TECHNOLOGIST/SENIOR SCIENTIFIC TECHNOLOGIST (502.2/3)

Salary: $17.83-$27.99 502.2 level
           $20.88-$32.79 502.3 level

Note: This is a Flexible Term (at will) appointment, not to exceed six years. 
Nature and Scope of Job
The Safety Labs Division (SLD) in the Hazards Control Department (HCD) has an opening for a Scientific Technologist (502.2/502.3) to work as part of the
Bioassay Laboratory Team. This team provides routine and special bioassay analysis support as a critical part of the LLNL internal dosimetry program.
Under general supervision (or minimal supervision at the 502.3 level), the successful candidate will support ongoing Bioassay Lab operations. This includes
bioassay sample preparation, chemical analysis, instrumentation operation, database management, record keeping, laboratory maintenance, quality assurance
(QA)/quality control (QC) documentation and data reduction, and assisting chemists in research and development projects. The level of the position (502.2 or
502.3) will depend on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to perform the essential duties. This position will report to the SLD Leader. Interactions
