RE: NIST Traceable Am-241 Alpha Particle Calibration Standards

I am in the process of ordering exactly what you are looking for. The price
is going to be from $500-$600 any way you cut it. All the companies are in
the same ballpark although a couple (no names!!) are quite a bit higher.
Try North American Scientific at 800-992-6274 or Analytics at 404-352-8677.
I think you will find these items are expensive no matter who you get them
from.

Subject: NIST Traceable Am-241 Alpha Particle Calibration Standards

Radsafers,

I'm looking for some vendors that supply NIST traceable Am-241 alpha
particle standards (disk or capsule type sources preferably with activities
of about 0.1 uCi) to be used in the calibration of various instruments and
probes. I'm aware of IPL's sources, however, I'm looking for something a
bit more economically feasible.

Any references would be appreciated.

Regards,
