You can also reduce the error from where the contamination is on protective
clothing by calibration source selection.  The source covering can be made
to simulate a particle being embedded in the cloth of PCs. This source will
have a heavier mylar covering with the isotope sandwiched between the mylar
layers to simulate the activity being embedded in the cloth.   Of course
determination of efficiencies with this source cause efficiencies to
overestimate surface activity on PCs.  We have determined any over estimate
of surface efficiencies is reduced by geometry considerations on a laundry
monitor.
