Re: alpha particles and lung cancer
Mr. Muckerheide,
It looks like the work that is being ignored are the many studies performed
in the U.S., England and elsewhere that do not show a hormetic effect with
radon. I think these studies actually measured radon in the homes where the
people lived who had lung cancer. I don't think Dr. Cohen's or Scheutman's
studies do that. In the references provided by you, I see no radon studies
performed by Dr. Becker. A friend in Ottawa said there was a group that was
currently performing a study near Saxony that actually measured the radon in
the homes where the people had the lung cancer. Do you know anything about
this? Could a possible reason be that the studies you mentioned
(Scheutmann, Conrady) are not being published is because they don't measure
individual homes where the people developed the lung cancer? It may not be
a conspiracy.
I read the paper by Mr. Bogen. Why do you say Mr. Bogen's paper confirms
Dr. Cohen's data? All Bogen said was that his paper shows that Cohen's data
may be biologically plausible. That is a bit of a disconnect from confirms.
What do you mean by your statement that Dr. Wichmann and others cloud the
data? I am not sure what you mean by the word, obfuscate. Does this mean
you think they fabricate the data? Do you think the other researchers in
Finland, the States, England and elsewhere (Pershagen, Doll, Darby,
Alavanja, Fields, Lubin)also cloud data? Are all these people
establishment? In your opinion, where do researchers work that are not
establishment? Could the large sums of money being made by the spas in
Germany obfuscate the findings of the researchers at the spas?
The favour of you reply is appreciated.
