High Dose Rates in Sand - Brazil, Argentina or India

I've had information in the past regarding the sand on a beach (I think was

India, Brazil or Argentina) where the dose rate was several rem/h.  I can't

locate the information now.  Can anyone tell me where it is (Country, City,

etc.) and what the dose rates are?
