X-ray ICU question

ýDear All,ý

ýI have a question to radiation safety personnel who work in medical

institutions. Is it ýýa common practice to have a policy that require

every patient who is admitted to ICU ýý(intensive care unit) to undergo at

least one chest x-ray per day, every day, as long as ýýthe patient is in

the ICU? Kindly note that I am not questioning whether the MD has ýýthe

right to order an x-ray or not on case by case basis.ý

ýYour assistance is appreciated in advance.ý

ýSincerely,ý
