Position Title: -  Radiation/Environmental Safety Specialist		Job

Description & Requirements:	Assist Director of Environmental Health and

Safety with environmental issues and conduct laboratory chemical safety

audits.  Assist the Radiation Safety Officer in implementing the college

radiation safety program.  Assist in the preparation, coordination and

review of radioactive materials emergency plans.  Conduct investigations of

radioactive materials incidents to emergencies.  Research, analyze and

evaluate new techniques, procedures and equipment.  Maintain inventory of

equipment and supplies.  Other responsibilities include routine and special

investigations, surveys and audits.  Supervise and instruct trainees during

radiation safety training programs, tests, and exercises.  Knowledge of

radiation safety rules and regulations and familiarity with current

developments in the field of radiation protection required.  Bachelor's

Degree in Environmental and Chemical Sciences or related field and two years

experience in related areas.



Scheduled Days & Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
