Primary responsibilities are to assure that radioactive materials are used safely and in accordance with University, State, and Federal regulations. Specific job responsibilities include: supervision and participation in the radiation safety inspections of research laboratories, supervision and training of HP assistants, employee radiation safety training, radiation therapy patient surveys, and radiation monitoring. Minimum qualifications are a Bachelors degree and two years experience in an appropriate area of specialization. A Bachelors degree in Health Physics and two years experience in health physics or a Masters degree in Health Physics are preferred.
