Don't get me wrong. I agree that it is hard to attract individuals to a

profession in which compensation is low.  But to some degree, aren't we all

putting too much emphasize on salary?  There is more to a job than

compensation.  I could probably make more money than I am now.  Why do I

stay?  Benefits, challenging job responsibilities, being close to my family,

regular work schedule, work environment, professional development and the

list goes on.  Some of these you can't place a dollar figure.  We each need

to evaluate our own priorities and then compare the job to what we want.
