Yes. The statement has got into news reports and on TV in various venues. In fact, when the State of Nevada claimed a couple of years ago that a particular accident would have resulted in thousands of casualties "if the truck had been carrying SNF," the DOE rebuttal was both in the local paper and on TV.

Not that we should stop making these statement, but they do get some attention.
