Front page story in todays Chattanooga Free Press(
http://www.timesfreepress.com/ ) quotes the starting pay for an
inspector in the Division of Rad Health (4 year degree required) as
being $21,000/yr. Any wonder we are short on inspectors?

When I left the NRC as a materials inspector in 1985, my pay rate was
in the
