Bjorn... the above is what a journalist is taught, and, what is 

demanded by their management. The headlines attract the readers 

(printed medium), infomercials on upcoming news (TV or radio), etc. 

The headlines attract. From management's perspective, they know that 

without sensationalism, without focusing on what they know the public 

fears, they know that they will not have the ratings. It's all about 

the money!
